Engine starts up hard or won't start. Air trapped in fuel system - Bleed air. Clogged fuel filter - Change the filter element. Fuel injection nozzles are clogged or faulty - Clean or replace injection nozzles. Water or dirt in fuel system - Drain, flush, and service the system.Possibly no pressure being developed for some reason (internal leak) or no fluid flow coming from the pump.
