Spell Combat: This is what makes magus want to use one handed weapon (except e.archer). You basically can cast with one off hand free and swing with your other hand. At level 1 you can use shocking grasp as a normal touch spell and swing at the same time. Combined with Spellstrike it changes the scenario.

Having to build high Intelligence into your Magus build in order to better utilize a hotfix for the main class feature just feels bad.
