Bowfa is what makes raids/inferno/gwd doable without 2bil in gear so yes, it's absolutely worth it. Bowfa is the best mid game upgrade you can get. Hopefully by this time you also have made anguish and ring of suffering to help greatly with zulrah. Lack of anti venom doesn't really matter, you can just be on lunars and cure poison. You can do bowfa only zulrah as-is, it's just that the drops aren't going to do a lot for you right now.

Some other quick tips for new Snake Slayers: Take the best gear you possibly can. It costs nothing to get it back. Always use Ranging potions and Magic potions before you start the fight. The DPS increase is very noticeable. Always make sure your ring of recoil has 30+ charges. This is a MUST when learning Zulrah. Zulrah is very chill with bowfa only, sometimes you get unlucky and end up going into a new phase during kills but you'll probably have KC's averaging around 2:20. Muspah is arguably even more chill with bowfa only imo. Learn the step back method for melee phase and you'll be laughing, I found kills took me longer when I brought a mage switch tbh.

The bowfa only method took my PB from like 3:30 down to 1:30 within like 2 kills. One thing to watch if your using the zulrah helper is if you don't kill him during his first full rotation then the rotation restarts but sometimes random phases are thrown at you during the second rotation.

As others have said, there's really not much of an incentive to do early zulrah now, with the existence of BowFa and the pipe nerf. You can get consistent kills with rcb + dia(e) and ibans at 75/75, but none of the drops would be worth the supply and time investment.
