After I did, the liftgate shut fine, but not it won't open at all. I've tried the button on the inside, the key fob, and the button on the liftgate. Nothing seems to work.Note: I read the owners manuel after it happened the second time and learned that the liftgate is not supposed to open when the car was in drive. I could not replicate what happened but do truly believe that this occurred on it own. In neither instance did I open the liftgate prior to leaving or arriving at work.If the mortgage absolutely will not open usually the only way is to physically break off the rear panel entirely to access the latch. This is usually due to the fact that some of the mounting screws are not accessible without the liftgate being open. The panel will likely need to be replaced afterwards. Ford.
