SDSU is a much bigger school with better athletics and much more diverse student body. And a bigger alumni base, so you might benefit from the larger alumni network when looking for a job after graduation.Both CSULB and SDSU will give you an excellent education in the sciences (Biology). In regards to research and internships, it will be depend upon how much effort you put in to seek out these opportunities since they are there at both schools.

Hello! I will be posting this to both r/CSULB and r/SDSU for different perspectives. I am a graduating CS student from CSULB looking to do a Masters, and I have been accepted into both SDSU and CSULB. I am also waiting for results from 5 other colleges, but none have responded yet.

For CSULB I like that it is ranked as one of the number one programs in the state. I am worried that if I chose SDSU I might regret not picking CSULB because their program is better. And I’m worried that if I chose SDSU I would regret not being able to get the experience of moving out/social life available at SDSU.

CSULB has a stronger program than CSUDH. CSULB has a larger department, and their accreditation with AACSB has been around longer than CSUDH (CSUDH just received theirs in 2020). I think both of them have equal opportunities in terms of after you get out of the school. There really isn't much of a difference tbh. 5.
