I have a 2011 Chevy Travers which had the same issue while my wife and kids were traveling down the Interstate during rush hour. The Traction Control/Stabilitrak came on and the engine power was reduced in middle of the Interstate. GM Roadside was very helpful and advised me the vehicle was still under warranty (68,000 miles) and a tow was called.
