I ended up replacing them with the Behringer counterparts, which sound better and had features that mattered more to me. And of course off angle is how we program the UB-Xa. I've chosen to wait until May to get my UB-Xa. Frankly, I'm hoping that batch will have ironed out some bugs. You know, avoiding the whole early adopter thing. Including Behringer "listening" and addressing the display snafu. I'm not on FB.

Dec 2, 2023 · After what seems like an eternity, the Behringer UB-Xa finally sees the light of day. Initially conceived as early as 2018, Behringer’s ambitious clone of the Oberheim classic underwent a lengthy development process lined with several prototypes (including, most recently, a desktop version), teaser pictures, and initial demos from the beta testing phase. Maybe it is just me that I need to get used to the new UB-Xa that is less semi weighted and more synth action, as I am used to Fatar and old Yamaha keybeds. Anyway, the UB-Xa keyboard feels OK and it has a good playability. PolyAT is great. I am now on holiday and counting the days to return to my studio to play the UB-Xa. It can do some filter sweep stuff, like the 1984 patch. I'd imagine the Rev2 is more than 50% an OB-Xa, soundwise. But I'm hoping the new UB-Xa will just sound sweeter.
